WHY WE FUNDRAISE:

Many Units have raised sizable amounts of money from Fundraiser Sales; providing for a secure and stable source of income to cover the cost of camping, badges/advancement, special events, Scout nights, and other outdoor adventures.

Fundraisers, such as the Popcorn, not only support our Units but also provide support for Scouting Council-wide to help us service members and volunteer leaders with top-notch programs, training opportunities, and camping facilities.

ALL UNITS ARE PROHIBITED FROM FUNDRAISING DURING THE COUNCIL POPCORN FUNDRAISER!

All Units who are fundraising outside of the Council Sponsored Fundraiser (Popcorn Sales) must read the “Guidelines to Unit Money-Earning Projects” and complete and turn in the “Unit Money-Earning Application” two weeks prior to the fundraiser.

A unit must submit a Unit Money-Earning Application to the council at least two weeks prior to committing to your money-earning project.

Whenever a unit is planning a money-earning project, refer to the BSA’s “Guides to Unit Money Earning Projects.” Please read this document before submitting the application as there is a question in the application about this document.  Understanding money-earning guidelines will help in the selection of projects.  Money-earning projects help Scouts learn to pay their way.

All unit fundraisers or money-earning projects, except council fundraisers (e.g., Popcorn Sales), must be approved by the council.
