CUB SCOUTS
Cub Scouting is a year-round family program designed for
boys who are in the first grade through fifth grade (or
7, 8, 9, and 10 years of age). Parents, leaders, and organizations
work together to achieve the purposes of Cub Scouting. Currently,
Cub Scouting is the largest of the BSA's three membership
divisions.
BOY SCOUTS
Boy Scouting, one of the traditional membership divisions
of the BSA, is available to boys who have earned the Arrow
of Light Award and are at least 10 years old or have completed
the fifth grade and are at least 10, or who are 11, but
not yet 18 years old. The program achieves the BSA's objectives
of developing character, citizenship, and personal fitness.
VENTURING
Venturing is a youth development program of the Boy Scouts
of America for young men and women who are 14 (and have
completed the eighth grade) through 20 years of age. Venturing's
purpose is to provide positive experiences to help young
people mature and to prepare them to become responsible
and caring adults.
VARSITY
Varsity Scouting is a program for young men who are at least
14 years of age but not yet 18. It provides options for
young men who are looking for rugged high adventure or challenging
sporting activities and still want to be a part of a Scouting
program that offers the advancement and values of the Boy
Scouts of America.
