About Popcorn
Building a strong, adventurous program is a great way to keep your Scouts active and interested in the Scouting program. Popcorn sales help fund those adventures. The Three Rivers Council’s premier money-earning project is the annual popcorn sale.

  • No up-front cost or risk to the Units

  • Scouts learn salesmanship and build confidence

  • 70% of all sales stay right here in our local area

Many Units have raised sizable amounts of money from popcorn sales; providing for a secure and stable source of income to cover the cost of camping, badges/advancement, special events, Scout nights, and other outdoor adventures.

Fundraisers, such as the Popcorn Sale, not only support our Units, but also provide support for Scouting Council-wide to help us serve members and volunteer leaders with top-notch programs, training opportunities, and camping facilities.

  • In Scout Boss, when entering the scouts names, can units bulk upload a roaster, or do they need to enter each scout individually?

    • Individually. Bulk upload is not an option as it compromises the data in the table since it would be a direct upload.

  • If a unit would like another bullet board can they purchase one?

    • We only ordered enough boards for the season, we can look to increase the quantity next year.

  • What is the commission for the show-n-sell, is it the same as take orders?

    • Yes, traditional sales are given the same commission.

    • Commission rates are 32% for units who participate in the prize program and 35% for units who do not participate in the prize program.

  • Do show-n-sell sales count towards their prizes? Both winners circle prizes and normal prizes?

    • Yes

  • In the units scout boss, what is the kernel tracker?

    • It is a link to a web-based tool that would allow the kernel to manage their unit inventory down to the scout level.

  • Can my unit get more door hangers and table tents?

    • We wouldn’t print more, but we will be uploading the files to the website so that when your unit logs in you will see a link “Files” that you could print more from there if needed

  • Can you return Show-N-Sell product my unit does not sell?

    • No, you cannot return any Show-N-Sell product.

    • Your unit is able to use Show-N-Sell product throughout the entire sale, so that means if your unit has extra product you can use the product to fill take orders as they come in.
